Champagne Doyard Vendanges

Côte des Blancs

Doyard

DOMAIN

A grower-producer for four generations and a winemaker for twelve, the Estate is located in Vertus, a village in the Côte des Blancs. This family-run business comprises over ten hectares of vines in the crus of Vertus, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Cramant, and Aÿ.

THE VINEYARD

The estate cultivates 11 hectares of vines, primarily in Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, with 10 hectares of Chardonnay (Vertus, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize, Cramant) and 1 hectare of Pinot Noir (Vertus, Aÿ). The vineyard is spread across 54 named plots (averaging 0.20 ha/plot), with an average vine age of 40 years. No replanting is practiced, only the annual replacement of dead vines to preserve the vines' ripeness.

Viticulture is practiced sustainably, with minimal inputs and mechanical soil cultivation, promoting deep root systems and an authentic expression of the terroir. Yields are strictly controlled through permanent Royat cordon pruning.
