Vouette & Sorbée

Champagne Vouette & Sorbée, founded by Bertrand Gautherot in Buxières-sur-Arce in the Côte des Bar, is today a true benchmark among independent Champagne producers. From the late 1990s, Bertrand made the visionary choice of biodynamic viticulture, certified since 1998, convinced that only a living vine can produce a vibrant wine.

The estate takes its name from its two main parcels: Vouette and Sorbée, both planted on Kimmeridgian soils similar to those of Chablis. This unique geology, composed of calcareous marl and clay, gives the wines a sharp minerality and rare depth.

In the cellar, vinification is carried out naturally, with indigenous yeasts, without chaptalization or filtration. Each cuvée is aged in Burgundy barrels, respecting the vintage and the unique character of each terroir. The result: powerful, precise, and deeply expressive Champagnes, including the iconic Blanc d’Argile, Fidèle, and Saignée de Sorbée cuvées.

Vouette & Sorbée embodies a vibrant, artisanal Champagne, at the crossroads of tradition and natural purity—a must-visit for lovers of terroir-driven wines and genuine emotion.
