Richard Fouquet was 18 when he returned to the family estate in Cramant in 1993. He was joined by his wife, Karine, an oenologist, in 2012.
The vineyard, managed using sustainable farming practices, is located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, with some very fine plots in the prestigious terroirs of Cramant, Chouilly, Oiry, and Mardeuil. He cultivates 3 hectares there, primarily planted with Chardonnay, for a rather limited production of no more than 30,000 bottles per year.
This purist, committed to a strong approach to preserving his environment, meticulously crafts precise and refined Champagnes with a perpetual quest for excellence, deeply rooted in their terroir, brilliantly combining tradition and modernity.
“My wines are imbued with work carried out with respect for the chalk terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. The hand of man is discreet, proudly showcasing the purity of expression of the Grands Crus Chardonnay.” Richard, 5th Generation of passionate winemakers in Cramant.
