Housed in remarkable 17th-century cellars, the estate produces exclusively Champagnes from its own plots within the village. Nestled at the foot of a true amphitheatre of vineyards and surrounded by forests, this terroir benefits from a microclimate that brings freshness, finesse and elegance to the wines.
The vines grow on green clay soils over a sandy subsoil, a geological combination that encourages a precise, mineral and authentic expression of the Cormoyeux terroir. With a strong focus on revealing the identity of each individual plot, Mathieu Faniel favours a plot-by-plot approach, through vintage-dated cuvées, single-variety Champagnes and limited, confidential selections.
