La Borderie

Identity champagnes from regions, true gastronomic wines

For Simon and Marie Normand, who learned all the winegrower's skills from their parents and at the same time cultivated respect for the vines inherited from their ancestors, wine can only be an extension of the work meticulously accomplished in the plots throughout the seasons. All have their own characteristics and the grapes produced by these vines reveal particular aromas linked to the typicality of the soil and the grape varieties used, some of which have been planted for several decades.

"A vine has a unique history and together at Domaine La Borderie we have reflected on the identity traits of each of the cultivated plots in order to produce wines using a very thorough plot selection logic. We think terroir and especially micro-terroir," explain the brother and sister. Purists, they are keen to know their grapes in the smallest details of their expression in order to design the blends that, in their eyes - in their noses and their mouths, too! - will produce the best wines. Gastronomy wines from regions !

“Wine should be an accessible moment of pleasure.”

Jean-Louis and Odile have made their children "aroma seekers" and they accompany them in this quest for identity which has already given birth to some fine vintages. Gastronomy wines thus developed are intended for a target of enlightened amateurs. This is confirmed by great cellar masters invited to participate in the estate's tastings, to discover the taste harmonies proposed around food and wine pairings without fuss, focusing only on the essentials.
