Marine Zabarino and Quentin Vincey, 8th generation of Champagne winegrowers, decided in 2014 to produce their own vintages, pressing their grapes at their friend's house Laurent Vauversin. They then write the birth of the Vincey Estate with the release of their first champagne, entitled “La Première”.
Since then, the estate has equipped itself with a traditional press and an exceptional modern cellar dug into the chalk with gravity drawing. They only produce vintage wines which spend about a year in carefully selected oak barrels, before a long maturation in bottles.
Having worked organically since the beginning, the young couple has now switched to biodynamics, which allows their 7 ha of vines (including 5 ha in mass selection and classified Grand Cru) to Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly in particular) to produce healthy and ripe grapes.
Domaine Vincey has been AB certified since 2022 and is in the process of obtaining Demeter certification, which applies the principles of biodynamics, treatment with medicinal plants and the purest gravity-fed vinification.
A passionate and promising duo; their wines are absolutely worth discovering!
