Bryan Marx, Winegrower in Venteuil

After initially working in marketing, Bryan decided to return to the family estate with the ambition of creating a new domaine, giving him the freedom to craft his own “coup de cœur” cuvées with a different interpretation from that of the family estate Marx-Coutelas In 2018, Bryan began with 1.60 hectares in Venteuil. The three Champagne grape varieties are grown here: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, on chalky and silty-clay soils. The vines are predominantly south-facing and are around 30 to 40 years old. As soon as he took over the vineyards, Bryan began transitioning towards organic farming in 2019, with certification achieved for the 2022 harvest. In the cellar, both vinification and ageing take place in oak barrels, with around one-third new oak, in a natural chalk cellar in Venteuil.
