Champagne Carré Frères, winemakers in Trépail

Champagne Carré Frères is a family estate located in Trépail, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, run by brothers Édouard and Victor Carré. The vineyard covers 21 hectares of old vines spread across Trépail, Villers-Marmery, and Verzy in the Montagne de Reims, and around Essoyes and Les Riceys in the Côte des Bar.

Committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, the Carré brothers have progressively adopted organic farming and biodynamic practices. Their minimalist approach to winemaking highlights the unique characteristics of each terroir, with plot-by-plot vinification and the use of indigenous yeasts.

Among their remarkable cuvées, "Le Champ Jeanvrai" is a Blanc de Blancs from a single plot planted in 1964 in Trépail, offering a pure expression of Chardonnay with notes of white flowers, candied lemon, and brioche.

Champagne Carré Frères distinguishes itself through its commitment to local biodiversity and its respect for ancestral practices, while also incorporating modern innovations to enhance the Champagne terroir.
