Like the José Michel wine estate, Antonin is also at the head of Champagnes Wirth-Michel. 4 hectares of vines in Moussy and Vinay, co-managed with his mother Nathalie.
This “dual activity” is Antonin’s daily life, working on both areas, inherited from his two parents, with the same philosophy.
Not having the possibility of merging the two domains, he is attached to his terroirs and creates vintages with a strong identity, that of Southern hillsides of Epernay. A region in its own right, often forgotten between the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.
From his maternal family, he inherited old massal selections from the 1950s to the 1990s. Very small plots, which allow him to favor horse-drawn ploughing and the rest of the mechanical work with fairly light tools. In the cellar, the vinification of the wines of the year is carried out 100% in demi-muids and the reserve wines in demi-muids, stainless steel, enamel and concrete vats.
