Winegrowers and harvesters in Verzenay , Grand Cru of the Montagne de Reims , the Rousseaux family has been cultivating vines since the end of the 18th century. The first bottles were marketed at the beginning of the 20th century under the name Paul Rousseaux. Michel, his son, developed the manipulation. Denis, his grandson, created the current Rousseaux-Batteux brand in 1976 with his wife Laurence, niece of Albert Batteux, famous football coach of the Grand Stade de Reims and the French team. Adrien , 4th generation of "Rousseaux" today develops the different vintages in accordance with tradition , paying constant attention to the environment, practicing sustainable viticulture without the use of pesticides and herbicides.
