Champagne Gounel-Lassalle

Champagne Gounel-Lassalle is a family estate located in Chigny-les-Roses, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Founded in 1870, it has evolved through the generations, asserting its independence by becoming a grower-producer in 2002.

The Premier Cru vineyard covers 5 hectares and several parcels in Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes, Rilly-la-Montagne, and Barzy-sur-Marne, where the emblematic grape varieties of Champagne flourish: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.

Deeply committed to viticulture that respects the soil, the vines, and the people, Arnaud Gounel prioritizes a sustainable, plot-by-plot approach. Since 2007, the vineyards have been grassed and insecticide-free, a practice reinforced by the installation of a self-contained washing area. Certified High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC), the estate is now committed to converting to organic farming. Geosensory soil mapping allows for the refinement of viticultural practices, promoting deep root systems and optimal expression of the terroir.

Each cuvée is vinified on-site, in the House's vats and oak barrels, using a meticulous, plot-by-plot approach. Production, limited to 3,000 bottles per cuvée, guarantees an authentic and distinctive Champagne. To preserve the purity of the terroir, the wines are not dosed and are aged under natural cork, enhancing their complexity and depth.
