Brice Allouchery – Champagne on a human scale, a heart full of dreams of freedom and pleasure
Nestled in the hollow of the hillside, overlooked by the forest, Écueil, on the sandy soils of the Upper Thanetian, Brice Allouchery is writing a free and sincere story, driven by the impulse of the heart and a passion for wine; the kind that is meant to be shared. He didn't inherit a predetermined estate, but rather a family legacy and a taste for wine – the kind shared among friends, the kind that speaks for itself without artifice.
Very early on, Brice understood that he wasn't suited to a rigid structure. What guides him is observation, intuition, and encounters. His path is built by listening to life – the life of the vines, the wine, and the people. In 2018, he began making wine almost in secret, to prove to his father, and perhaps to himself, that another kind of Champagne is possible. Less control, more freedom. A wine that speaks the truth, without pretense.
Today, on his 3.83 hectares, Brice cultivates the vines with respect for the natural rhythm of the soil and the plants: no more herbicides, cover crops, tilling that restores their organic matter, and a quest for precision. The cellar is an extension of the same spirit: indigenous yeasts, pressing, a single pumping, long aging in barrels, and minimal sulfur. He makes wine as he lives: with curiosity, honesty, and passion.
By his side, Mathilde accompanies him with kindness, intuition, and exacting standards. She is his discreet anchor, the essential presence that sustains the adventure. His champagnes are companions at the table, for sharing, for friendship, for emotion. Vibrant and sincere wines, like an echo of past and present moments when he shares the bottles he loves. Wines that, like Brice, don't cheat.
