The Champagne " Les Jardins du Mesnil " is produced from a multitude of small plots of vines from the Mesnil-sur-Oger terroir. Composition around plots from the plains and highlands mainly, plus plots selected from the heart of the terroir.
Terroir : Côte des Blancs
Grape variety : 100% Chardonnay – Mesnil-sur-Oger
Vintage : Base 2018
Pressing : Slow, low sulfite (4 cl/Hl for SO2 at 150 g/L)
Settling : Light settling – Conservation of fine lees (cottony whites)
Vinification in barrels : 60% vinified in barrels of 228 liters in selected oak (Argonne, Mesnil)
Vinification in Tank : 40% of the wine is vinified in tank on fine lees
Aging : On lees for 10 months, stirring just after the end of AF
Maturation : 4 years in chalk cellars
Dosage : 3 g/L (Liqueur specially prepared for wine)
To the eye : Light gold color
Nose : Expressive, offering aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, as well as slightly buttery notes.
On the palate : The attack is fresh, the wine is straight, mineral, served by a nice length.
