At just 30 years old, Matthieu Godmé-Guillaume took over the family estate from his mother, Sabine Godmé, in the three villages of Villers-Marmery, Verzy and Verzenay. Today the estate covers 5.35 ha: 1.85 ha of Pinot Noirs and 3.50 ha of Chardonnay. The plots are on average 30 to 40 years old, in the prime of life. All the vines are grassed with selected plants, the soil work under the row is practiced on the entire Estate. Focused on living respect, the fertilizers are 100% organic, without the use of herbicides or insecticides. Matthieu is careful to keep beautiful vigor in the vines and limits the yields by pruning, disbudding, and suckering. The musts are fermented in indigenous yeasts mainly in oak barrels from different French coopers. In the vat room, the wines are mainly worked in French oak barrels. The reserve wines are stored by vintage in order to create perpetual reserves by village. The bottling is always mid-June in order to maximize the aging until the end of May (8 months). The wines are neither filtered nor fined.
