Champagne Alexandre Moreau – The New Generation of a family expertise

Located in Saint-Euphraise-et-Clairizet, on the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Alexandre Moreau embodies the new generation of a renowned family estate. The son of Sylvie Moreau, Alexandre now carries on the legacy of Champagne Sylvie Moreau, faithfully and sensitively continuing the work begun by his mother. Committed to his terroir and respectful viticulture, Alexandre Moreau prioritizes a precise approach in both the vineyard and the cellar, in order to reveal the purity of the fruit and the unique character of the soil. The estate's champagnes are distinguished by their balance, freshness, and elegance, reflecting a time-honored expertise and a resolutely forward-looking vision. An authentic grower's champagne, blending family heritage and innovation, to be discovered for its sincerity and finesse. 🍾

From Sylvie to Alexandre

The estate has grown over time to reach three hectares, driven by the same desire: to reveal the true character of their terroirs through unique wines. This family story continues today with the arrival of Alexandre, their son, who is gradually taking over the estate. For more than five years, he has been implementing an even more respectful approach to living things: a drastic reduction in inputs, working the soil on each plot, and a complete abandonment of chemical products in favor of copper, sulfur, and herbal teas. This approach — now certified organic since 2023 — reflects a shared philosophy: to nurture the vines gently, to seek the perfect taste, and to allow the wine to sincerely express the identity of the great terroirs of Champagne. Here, patience is not a method: it is a legacy and a conviction. Today, a new chapter begins in the family's story: a carefully considered passing of the torch. Alexandre now signs certain cuvées under his own name, giving rise to Domaine Alexandre Moreau. This transition will be gradual, respectful of the estate's history: for several more vintages, the cuvées will continue to be labeled Champagne Sylvie Moreau, while bearing a discreet mark of this evolution—a handcrafted stamp reading "Vinified by Alexandre Moreau", a symbol of a profound yet measured change. The intention remains the same: to preserve the land, enhance the terroir, and pass on a family tradition focused on living things.
