FEATURES
This Champagne from a single vintage highlights the particularities of an exceptional year.
The year 2017: start of the harvest on September 8, 2017 after a very wet end to the season: 28 days of rain out of 35 days before the harvest.
TERROIR AND SOILS
The name of this vintage comes from the green clays. Indeed, our soils are a little deep, with very draining calcareous marls, and systematically a thick vein of green clay, called "Illite" in pedology.
During long periods of drought, especially during the summer, green clay is the only soil where moisture persists. The fineness and purity of these clays guarantee a supply of water to our grapes.
