Champagne Moussé Fils - Les Vignes de mon Village NV

100% MEUNIER – CORK DRAWN

FEATURES
This perpetual is a 100% Meunier drawn cork and comes only from the village of Cuisles. It is a blend of years between 2014 and 2020.

Before the arrival of this Brut Sans Année Nature, only "Les Fortes Terres" was a 100% Meunier. The idea behind this Champagne is to create a cork-pulled cuvée with an identity, remaining accessible to all. It is also a tribute to Jean-Marc Moussé, who was mayor of his village for 25 years, and a lover of the Meunier grape variety.

TERROIR AND SOILS
Cuisles vineyard

Only on green clays above calcareous marls

VINIFICATION

  • Malolactic fermentation

  • Sugar added during disgorging: 0 g/l

AGING

RECOMMENDATIONS
This 100% Meunier is the gastronomic Champagne par excellence.
To express itself fully, it should not be decanted, but served in white wine glasses 5 minutes before tasting; the oxygenation is then gentler.

The recommended pairing is with unsauced white meat or simply puff pastries.

Champagne Famille Moussé – Meunier in its purest form, green clay as its signature

Based in Cuisles, in a valley running perpendicular to the Marne, Moussé Fils has been crafting an identity-driven Meunier since 1923, rooted in a unique terroir of green clay soils. The vineyards are spread across three villages but lie on a single south-facing hillside, expressing the full purity of this emblematic grape variety.

Winegrowers since 1629 and winemakers for four generations, the family deliberately steps back behind the terroir, seeking to let the soil and grape variety express themselves while keeping intervention to a minimum.

Since 2003, Cédric Moussé has taken a deeply sustainable approach to an exceptional level. In 2014, the estate abandoned synthetic pesticides, and from 2017 onwards, it began a revolution in the cellar: eliminating all oenological “masks” (dosage sugar, new oak, petrochemical-derived sulphur, etc.). The objective is clear: pure, taut and vibrant Meunier wines, driven by the energy of the place.

The entire estate is designed to reduce its carbon footprint and protect ecosystems:

Homemade compost moistened with recycled water; harvesting tools designed to limit oxidation and therefore minimise the use of sulphur; an eco-designed cellar with energy self-sufficiency and heating powered by uprooted vine wood; natural temperature regulation using a climate well and Champagne grape marc; natural treatments based on plants and essential oils without chemical weed control; horse-drawn vineyard work; 10 weather stations and lunar planting practices; lightweight bottles fitted with NDtech corks guaranteed to be free from cork taint.

Champagne Famille Moussé embodies living, visionary and deeply committed viticulture, where each cuvée is a vehicle for energy, truth and terroir.
