Nicolas Maillart - Montchenot NV
This vintage comes only from the village of Villers Allerand, precisely from the hamlet of the village of Montchenot (my mother's village). Montchenot has the particularity of being the junction village between the small mountain and the large mountain, and shares the geology of the two regions (sand, clay and chalk).
Composition :
This vintage comes exclusively from our beautiful plots of Pinot Noir and Meunier. It is vinified mainly in barrels and is aged for one year.
Tasting:
- Village : Villers Allerand 1er cru
- Vintage : 80% 2016 and 20% 2015
- Grape variety : 85% Pinot noir and 15% Meunier
- Soils : Thanetian marl and limestone soils
Soil tillage. Approach to treatments using biological, biodynamic and more traditional methods if necessary. Respect for the plant's rhythms.
- Vinification : 50% in barrels
- Aging : 8 months on lees
- Dosage : 4 g/L
