Doyard - Ratafia

The cuvee
Doyard - Ratafia
The origin of the word probably comes from the Latin expression "Rata fiat": "Let the treaty be ratified".
So sharing a glass of ratafia meant the deal was sealed.
Ratafia is a liqueur made from the blend of must, unfermented grape juice, and fine Champagne (alcohol from the distillation of Champagne wines). This ratafia is aged for 18 months in barrels.
You can enjoy it as an aperitif and during a meal where this Ratafia will majestically accompany foie gras, candied meats, fatty cheeses, and of course all desserts, chocolates and mignardises.
Best enjoyed chilled (10 to 12 degrees).
